Frequently Asked Questions
-
The term herbalism is subjective, since herbalism is an unregulated healing tradition. You can call yourself whatever you want AND, I personally started calling myself an herbalist after four years of study. In this culture we want things quickly and most times, true deep knowledge takes time and lived experience. That said this course series, if taken in its entirety will give you a solid starting point in herbalism and will absolutely give you some extra tools in your tool kit, when caring for your children & your family.
-
No, I offer no certifications for this course. Your lived experience is your certification.

I am a mother, and I've been a mother, tending to my family as our primary healer for the past five years. I am also a wise woman, folk & bioregional herbalist. I did a traditional apprenticeship for 3 years with an herbal elder and I also interned. I've also done intensives with multiple herbalists and I've organized large women's herbal events. All told, I've been an herbalist for about nine years.
-
Older children need to stay at home, however babes in arms are more than welcome to attend.

Hi,
I'm Elinor, a wise woman & bioregional folk herbalist.
I've been on the plant path for the last 9 years, learning and being in relationship with the green world.
You can find me hanging out with the plants, mothering my two small humans, singing at women's circle & teaching about herbalism & parenting.
Come along with me, and let's learn about plants. I'll teach you how to be the healer, the tender of your home and your family, by working with common plant allies.
